I guess when all is said and done, for myself that is, the joy has been the challenge of "coming back" to Jerusalem and the ups and downs that it has brought me forward with. Family is the core of that experience, from my wife, Eva, from Helsinki,Finland to children and a bunch of grandchildren. I figured if a picture is worth a "thousand words", I could just post a few that would sum it up. Having one of my boys, Jonathan, serve for 3 years plus in an elite Israeli military unit (that's when my hair went white)to go to study at Stony Brook and serve in the USMC, was, in some ways like watching myself reconnect to the wonderful days of Long Island living. On the other hand, to have a third generation born before my eyes here in Jerusalem is immortal. I kind of thought that the shot of Bob Dylan in traditional Jewish head gear :-) at the Western Wall for the Bar Mitzvah of his son - combined my world of GNS with Jerusalem all in one shot. The other pictures need no futher words.
