After leaving Great Neck for college at Boston University, I continued on to Northwestern U. for a master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology. While away at college, my parents moved to Greensboro, NC, where my mom still lives today.

Upon finishing my formal education, I moved out to the West Coast to Santa Monica for 4 years of beach, fun and some professional time as well. The pull back to New York was too much to resist, especially after our 10th reunion and the rekindling so many old friendships. I returned to NYC in 1982, and have been here ever since. Among my dearest friends are people I grew up with in Great Neck, including Amy Matsil (Richer)and Joan Ungar (Levy), who I met in jr. high.

Professionally, my life has been rich and varied. From working in the public schools in L.A. with the mentally challenged population, to selling diamonds, to reinsurance to the art world. I've been very lucky to have had the chance to pursue many avenues, and my life has been interesting and challenging as a result.

Currently, most of my energy is focused in 2 distinct directions. I am Chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Hebrew Academy, the first and only pluralistic Jewish boarding prep school in the US. It's located in Greensboro, NC, so I spend a fair amount of time down south. It's a very exciting, state of the art school that is geared for academically excellent students who are looking to take on future leadership roles in the worldwide Jewish community (Website: www.americanhebrewacademy.org). I have inherited a real passion for this school, which was founded by my late father in 2001.

The other part of my life is focused on the art world, specifically on wearable art and jewelry. I am directing a new division of bridal jewelry for a fantastic jewelry designer from Santa Fe named Susan Green. (www.susangreenjewelry.com). My favorite hobby is weaving, and I sell the scarves and shawls that I make.

I'm single, never married, no kids and have been able to travel and experience new locales because of the freedom I have. I have been an avid scuba diver for many years and have had the privelage of diving in some of the world's most beautiful waters from Galapagos to the Red Sea to Thailand's Andaman Sea to the Caribbean.

I love being in Manhattan, enjoy all the fantastic cultural things going on in the City, and occasionally visit Great Neck and the few friends and relatives that stiil live there.

I'm still looking for adventure, and hope to always feel this way about life.
