After graduating from the University of Michigan, I moved to Washington, DC for law school. I have lived in or near DC (now in Bethesda, MD) since 1976. I practiced law in a land use/real estate firm in the District for about 12 years. Since 1994, I have been the President and a founding director of a non-profit organization (Cornerstone, Inc.) that finances very low income housing for people with mental illness. I have been married since 1987 and have two daughters, now in 8th and 10th grades (yikes, high school!). I work hard to balance parenting, working (with a wonderful flexible schedule), family time, spouse time, and time for friends, exercise and reading. My parents moved to the DC area in 1993 so I no longer have reason to visit Great Neck.
