I find some simalarities with some of you, I've lived in Glen Oaks(77'-81'), have and still use Doctors, have and still use Jewelers, am in the food industry, and I work at a full life retirement home.

As Cheryl Aburzzo has stated, It was hard growing up around Great Neck, with a Italian last name, and being Jewish, alot of the parents could not believe you could be both. After graduation, I bounced from school to school, job to job. Ended up in the food industry working for Cooky's Steak Pubs. That's where I meet my second and present wife of 19 years, Marybeth. Moved to Roanoke, Va. 15 years ago. Great schools for my kids, Have 3, Carly Ann, 18, smart as a whip, does not take after me, then my second daughter, Jordan Lee,14, heading in the same direction, and "The son I always wanted", Gabriel Joseph, 9, Now he's work, ADHA, aspergers, ADD, put it all in a package, and you got Gabriel. If anyone knows what these are, you know what I'm talking about. It's alot slower pace down here.

For the last 11 years, I've been working at a upscale retirement home in the area, Brandon Oaks, for the 1st 7 years, I was the pastry chef for the home, that entailad, baking all breads, desserts, pastries, cakes, cookies, anything that needed to be baked for all meals, I did it. So after developing Carbal Tunnel in both hands, and after the surgery, I move up to supervisor, and then food purchasing ( that is what I did the 8 years I was with Cooky's). This year I am going to have the title of "Sous Chef".

My wife is a Consultant for MaryKay, enjoys that alot, alot of flexabily for her.

I have May 15th writen down for next year. Looking forward to seeing alot of you. Did not make the last reunion. For me, the big 50 has past, I'm older then all of you. August 7th I'll be 51.

George, Keep up the great work.
