Jimmy Sylvia, Me & George Levien @ LA Mini 2005

No kids or marriage, but I have had a full life so far. I have lived in Germany (nine months and speak fluent German)) England (six months) and the Caribbean (19 months).
I graduated from the University of Colorado and then worked in my dad's business in Manhattan, which is what took me to Germany.
I then decided to go back to the health field (my first line of study in college).
I went to chiropractic school in Los Angeles and then ran a successful practice for eight years in Venice, CA (near LA). But still having the travel bug in me, I then (88-89) took a sabbatical from work and traveled to Southeast Asia for nine months. One pack on my back and traveled very simply with my then girlfriend. Australia, New Zealand, Bali, Thailand, India, Nepal and more. Even spent a week in Hong Kong during the Tianamin Square tragedy. The trip of a lifetime. Feel free to ask me about this.
Eventually I returned to LA and I decided to expand my medical knowledge, so at the age of 38, I went back to medical school!
I had always practiced holistic health (natural alternative, etc) as a chiropractor and do so now as an MD/DC(chiropractor). I use mainly alternative medicine and specialize in
Holistic Medicine/Prolotherapy/Sports Medicine.
I also work in a small private emergnecy room center two days a week.

Being active and eating healthy are important to me. I have competed in over 30 triathlons. In 2005 and 2006, I finished two half Ironman Distance triathlons
(1.2 mile swim/56 mile bike/13.1 mile run) in each year. I train and work out a on a regular basis. It is fun, keeps me active, and young (hey, arenĚt we all!). I also play competitive tennis, hike, ski, scuba, lift weights and more. Needless to say, fitness and staying healthy are a major part of my life- and keeps me young! When not working I am usually outdoors doing one of the above sports (hey living in southern California does have itĚs benefits). In between, you can find me reading, going to theater, film, and museums and eating good food.
I am dating a lovely Canadian woman now for two years. She is as active as I am and shares my 'joie de vivre'. We are very compatible and happy together.
I do get to see George in Florida as my mom lives about two miles from him. He is doing a great job and I thoroughly enjoyed the 30th reunion.
So you can see that I live by the motto:
"Just Do It- it is never too late to do what you want."
Stay in touch if you like. Take care.
